When sharing the Gospel with another individual, it is very important to use teaching time wisely. After all, you may only be given one opportunity to meet with that person. So, what do you teach? Although the subject can be approached in many different ways, it is useful to have a study guide for people who want to learn how to teach. This article provides an illustrated teaching template that outlines the scope of a personal Bible study lasting just over an hour. It is useful as a teacher’s guide (i.e., set of notes) for Bible study leaders and as a learning handout for Bible students. In it, the Good News of Jesus is presented through five key Pillars of Truth that underlie the Christian Faith. An explanation for the material in the template can be found in an accompanying article entitled “The Good News of Jesus Christ”.

Human beings were created in the image of God with the prospect of living with Him in eternity. Choices made by humankind not only affect the quality of life on the earth but also what happens beyond the grave. Divine Truth transforms troubled lives by revealing the error of our ways and
directing us to the lifestyle God always intended for humanity. Following His
guidance not only leads to an improved quality of life on earth but also restores
our broken relationship with God and holds the promise of an enduring peace beyond
the grave in Heaven with Him.

The best advice for
those who find themselves trapped in a deep hole is to stop digging. Through
selfish desires, foolish actions, or shear ignorance, all of us have managed to
fall short of God’s expectations and thereby place ourselves in that proverbial
“deep hole”. In the process, we have created personal hardships, hurt others, and
more importantly managed to alienate ourselves from the Creator. These things
have profound implications not only for life on earth but for what awaits us
beyond the grave. A divine transformation is needed to get us back on the right
track.

The truth that
transforms is a Divine Truth revealed
by the almighty Creator of the universe. Having designed the heavens, the earth,
and everything in them, He alone is the source of knowledge governing all aspects
of our existence. As a loving father cares for his children, so God wants only
the best for humanity. That is why He has revealed the Truth about who we are,
how we should live, and what the futures holds. For those who submit to His
will, the end result is a personal transformation that not only leads to a
better quality of life on earth but also an eternal home in Heaven.

Our true value and identity do not come from physical attributes but rather from the spiritual bond we share with the Creator. That explains God's love for us and the sacrifice He was willing to make to preserve fellowship with humanity.
